Operations Manager (Healdsburg, CA)     

Summary:
The Operations Manager contributes to the growth and profitability of the company through efficient management of the Operations team; consisting of the Repair, Welding, Body, & Parts Departments. The Operations Manager is responsible for leading the service departments in the timely preparation of new and used equipment for sale and external customer repairs while adhering to federal and state regulations and company policy; resulting in value, quality of work, and a high degree of customer satisfaction. In addition, the Operations Manager leads the parts team to attain sales goals and manage parts inventory.  The Operations Manager will represent and promote the Sales, Service, and Parts Department operations in a positive manner, which assures customer confidence, repeat business, and maximum return for the business.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manage the Operations Team. Repair, Fabrication/Welding, Body Shop, and Parts Leads to directly report into Operations Manager. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Opperman’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and discipline employees, and resolving problems.

Cargo Tank Welder/Mechanic  (Healdsburg, CA)     
Opperman & Son, Inc. is a Sonoma County icon in the heavy duty truck sales, parts, and service industry. Our facility is located on 8 acres in the midst of Healdsburg's wine country. We are a full service center for the trucking industry offering new and used parts, body shop, repair shop, welding shop as well as equipment sales.

Compensation:  DOE plus New Hire Bonus
Employment type: full-time This position reports directly to the Service Manager and Shop Supervisor. Primary responsibilities include the repair and inspection of various types of cargo tanks, (ie: DOT 406 and MC 306). Duties include the use of acetylene and electrical equipment in the fabricating, welding, and cutting, of ferrous and non-ferrous metals in accordance with cargo tank regulations. Review plans with Management and agree on repairs to be made
Perform VKIP Inspections according to cargo tank regulations
Welded repair and pressure test on cargo tanks and required documentation
Lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms, such as machinery frames, truck bodies, and pressure vessels
Communicate with Management when repairs are needed beyond the original diagnosis
Maintain daily records of time spent on each piece of equipment through time cards
Provide completed Parts Requisitions to Back Counter Parts person for parts needed
Remove, cleans, repairs, reinstall and adjust all vehicle components upon completion
Maintain immediate shop area used to be clean and free from safety hazards
Replace all Company tools used to the proper storage area
Other duties as assigned High School diploma or GED (Required) Minimum of 3 years cargo tank repair experience REQUIRED!
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required Adhere to all safety rules, including the handling of hazardous materials
Repeated walking, bending, stooping, crawling, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and use of stools and ladders.
Able to lift up to 75 pounds.
Work on feet (stand or walk) for the assigned work shift
Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends. While performing the duties of this job the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, odors, and airborne particles. EOE and drug free workplace

Journey Diesel Mechanic (Healdsburg, CA)

Opperman & Son, Inc. is seeking an Journeyman level technician. Duties include but are not limited to engine diagnosis, rebuliding, removal & replacement, electrical, computer, transmissions, differentials, clutches, pumps, brakes, hydraulics, air systems, propane, etc. Experience with all diesel makes and models preferred.

 Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Clerk (Healdsburg, CA)

The Shipping / Receiving Clerk has the primary responsibility of accurate receiving and shipping of parts. The clerk must be able to multi-task and complete all paperwork accurately.

• Receive parts delivery throughout the work day
• Immediately check in and deliver all special order parts
• Check in all stock orders and put in proper bin locations
• Insure all stock and special orders are delivered or put away each day
• Package and prepare all documentation for outbound shipments
• Insure all outbound parts are picked up on a daily basis
• Pick parts for delivery and prepare outgoing paperwork
• Deliver parts in a timely fashion based on the pre-determined route
• Complete and maintain all paperwork as required
• Clean, revise, and update parts displays as directed
• Serve as back up driver for parts delivery
• Help maintain orderly parts stock
• Assist with regular part inventories (cycle and full physical counts)
• Process all RTV parts and complete paperwork
• Attend group training sessions as required
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
• High School diploma or GED
• Valid drivers license with clean driving record(required)
• Warehouse shipping / receiving experience
• Basic M/S Office skills
• Basic math skills
• Internet skills for 3rd party delivery services:
• Have a neat and clean appearance
• Adhere to all safety rules, including the handling of hazardous materials
• Repeatedly bend or stoop to ground level shelves and be able to reach upper shelves with the use of a stool or ladder
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
